Nightlife Reviews

Of lately, this destination tucked in the outer circle of Connaught Place has been on the hit list of party goers of the capital. Following the vibes, we also decided to check out the place and find out the legitimacy. A huge see through glass acting as a main wall gives an inside view of crystal beaded drapes and oversize prints of Al Pacino in black and white, donning the walls. Heaps of rolled zari peeps out from the corner booths and tempts you to get in. An elevated stage in the heart covers most of the floor area and is loaded with all kind of musical weapons. ‘Band@Live’ – the in-house band offers a mix of blues, jazz and rock ‘n’ roll and deserves a hearing. In snacks, the crispy fried chicken and prawn salt and pepper, are good enough to munch on and to accompany with your drinks. The Apple Mojito, Mint cooler and Cosmopolitan will pour a chill down your throat. The service is pleasant and polite waiters are always on hand to suggest a variation on that boring Vodka with Orange juice combo or to refresh your drink. If a music enthusiast, avoid coming here on Tuesdays as the band will be on off, if not it’s always fun out here.

This place has been in news for a while however for all the wrong reasons. This resto-cum-bar sited on the second floor of the DLF City Center is quite a rage amongst the youngsters who just want to drink and dance. It has all the required ingredients to call itself a Buzzerk place where you can get wasted and even smoke without any hassles. And, when not in a mood to do that, then just dance on fortifying Bollywood numbers with a dash of popular English songs, too. Frankly speaking, the décor is not something which will lure your senses to come back here every week, rather messy and jam-packed, as their dance floor is in the middle. It has enclosed the most part of the place. The DJ console is right above the main bar covered with glasses. The food and bar menu is usual and highly priced. Though, we asked for a Mojito which was overly sweet than required and cosmopolitan was a watery concoction, should be strictly avoided. Go here, only if want to let your hair down on the dance floor.
